Chess Club

The PEAK Chess Club was originally proposed by a group of PEAK students during the fall of 2002. These students were able to acquire adult sponsorship and supervision, recruit players from throughout the school, and establish weekly meetings. Students came ready for friendly competition, mentorship from adults, and a commitment to The PEAK School values. These are the Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. The first year of the Club was celebrated in April at the first all city PEAK School Invitational Chess Tournament. This is slated to be a yearly event.
