Wilderness Club

The PEAK School Wilderness Club was originally formed by a group of students and parents that enjoyed sharing local area outdoor attractions. The Club recruited members from the general student body, met weekly, and participated in a variety of weekend activities ranging from a visit to the Lava Tubes to a play day at the Arizona Snowbowl. Hiking and exploring were balanced with service activities such as trail building. Students were encouraged in their appreciation of natural beauty and environmental awareness. Outdoor activity safety and character education were central features of the activities. A full year of activities are planned for the next school year.
